Course description

Fiber Optics and Fiber Splicing – gives overview of FO equipment – includes premise, outside plant and OLAN applications. Students receive hands-on instruction including mechanical and fusion splicing, connectorization techniques plus optical testing, including OTDR use. FTTH lab on-site. Structured Cabling certification with hands-on instruction and labs Academic credit: three credit hours – contact school for prerequisites. Classes conducted at MTC or customer sites.
