A well trained Fiber Optics Technician is in DEMAND in today’s job market! A fiber optics technician maintains fiber optic cable systems that carry both voice and digital transmissions. Fiber optics technicians are persons in charge of working with optical fibers and cables which are used in sending and receiving communications data. They splice and fuse fibers, install cables beneath the ground and in the different parts of building structures, so that these could be used for telecommunications and other forms of communication.
The Certified Fiber Optics Certificate programs prepare you to take the (Certified Fiber Optics Technician exam (CFOT), the Certified Fiber Optics Specialist/Splicing (CFOS/S) exam,and the Certified Fiber Optics Specialist in Testing (CFOS/T) exam and the Certified Fiber to the Home Specialist (CFOT/H).
